How to qualify as a Non-Principal Property Practitioner – By process of PPRA Equivalency Exemption

The table below will guide you through the steps of becoming a qualified Non-Principal Property Practitioner via a PPRA equivalency exemption process. This will grant you an exemption against the required NQF4 / NQF5 qualification and you will not be required to complete the NQF qualifications.

Apply for your Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)

Apply for a PPRA equivalency exemption against either NQF4 or NQF5 (If your degree / diploma has enough credits, you can use it to apply for exemption against NQF4 and NQF5 simultaneously)

R2000 Realty Solutions Service Fee + PPRA fee of R2223 (NQF4 only / NQF5 only) OR R3300 for both NQF4 & NQF5

Complete your PPRA workplace training kit   over a 6 month period.

Register for the Professional Designated Exam Level 4 (PDE4). This can only be completed once your PPRA workplace training modules have been completed, ticked off on your PPRA portal and your PPRA exemption granted by the PPRA.

After completing steps 1 – 4 you are now a qualified Non-Principal Property Practitioner

To become a Principal Property Practitioner the following steps, need to be taken:

Enrol with an accredited training provider to complete your NQF5 qualification.

Register for the Professional Designated Exam Level 5 (PDE5). The PDE5 exam can be written once you have obtained all the necessary educational requirements as stipulated above.
